Can we nourish a tree by watering its flowers and leaves ?

hansyoga's picture

I have a lovely Gulmohar tree close to my second-floor bedroom window and it has been in full bloom for many weeks now. In mid-summer its colorful flowers blossom forth, and even its leaves have such beauty, such awesome symmetry of design !

But I cannot nourish this tree by watering the flowers and leaves that I admire so much ; I must reach the roots and nourish them with water and manure.

Similarly, we cannot satisfy the soul by feeding the senses with pleasures, because we are not the senses ; we just have them. I do not myself get cleaned if I wash my shirt.

LOVE IS NOT AN EMOTION ...

Love is the most important truth of life, the raison d’etre of creation, and yet has been the least understood.

Before we understand love, we must understand why we came into being. God created us ("Eko aham bahusyam") because, all alone He could neither love nor be loved. There was so much of that pure joy in Him (Anand of Sat-Chit-Ananda), that He wanted to share it.

This needs developing Self-awareness. Sri Paramahansa Yogananda, the author of 'Autobiography of a Yogi', says "Be Calmly Active & Actively Calm". In other words, ‘to buy and sell but to keep our minds on God’.

Some of the tell-tale signs of a rising stress level, are :

Science, Engineering & Technology?

"Get the basics right", is the first response of the professor, when a student is doing a fundamental mistake, on the way of any problem solving approach. When our top authoritative educationalists are making a huge mistake of manipulating with the fundamentals. How to oppose them, who had put the building blocks of our own education system? They know it all but somehow; I am trying raising a voice to reach them that it will have really a great loss to country in long run. Getting an immediate advantage is a corporate way, not an educationalist approach.

“Linux: the operating system with a CLUE… Command Line User Environment”
The whole world can see every line of code in Linux. This is one of the reasons Linux is more secure than other operating systems and why open-source software overall is a safer than closed software. The transparency of the code ensures it’s secure.
When we say that linux has an endless opportunity it means that the whole world could be centralised to it.
Linux is an operating system with simplicity but needs a great consistency to understand that simplicity.
